Ski parks on the hawkesbury river?

Postby GTS » Wed Jan 22, 2014 7:31 pm

I'm looking for a ski park that is toddler friendly, normally go to Dargle but due to the Aust day long weekend it's booked out even for Monday .

Any other places to ski

Thanks Rob

Del Rio at Wisemans maybe? The other parks closer to you aren't so good for little kids because of steep banks.

Yep agreed. Dargle is our spot too. Used to have a van there before we moved down the coast.

We launched at Windsor today and boarded to Sackville ferry and back. I thought it would be busier on the water but it was ok.
All the parks were packed though. Everyone that has a weekender was up there too.

I was proud though. Aussie flags flying everywhere!

Awesome lifestyle this.

strada1, to tell you the truth i think i was unimpressed with the water traffic then the park it self.

Even on the peak/busiest time at Dargle, the water traffic wasnt that bad. found it pretty hard to find good water for skiing or tubing for the kids.

I ran the same stretch of river Matty but didn't see you out there .... we were in at 7am and out by 10:30 though :)
Must have been a big Saturday night up the river as it was not as busy as I might have thought either.

Yeah we might have rubbed shoulders at the ramp because we can't seem to get past McGraths Hill Maccas without the kids noticing :?

That's funny ... whilst I am ready to go at the ramp I often get a call from my regular crew "just checking if I want anything" from that very food stop.
I trust that your kids aren't also trying to get rid of a filthy hangover!!??

GTS I know what you meen. Towing from the bank there isnt really my idea of fun either.
Really need to head up river a couple of straights but its hard with small kids and smallish boats.
Some of the antics that go on at that small piece of river back amaze me.

When we've skied from Del Rio we've been lucky with quiet traffic. What I remember most was the mud under the sand that stains your boat.

Nah Pete, they're not up to that yet. Not even sneaking a few swigs while we're not around.
