Where is everyone

Postby Feetfirst » Mon Apr 15, 2019 11:46 am

Wondering where everyone is lately?? Been pretty slow on here. Let’s get it going again and add some pics of your last days out.......

This is our last day out at sandy hook, the water was perfect so it was hard to do anything but foot for the day.

Had a good time at the Nautique Reunions in March.

Cool pic attached from the Hawkesbury reunion where we had a great couple of hours stuffing about behind the big block 1979 Barefoot Nautique.

It is a mint boat that does close to 60mph. Not that we got close to that on the wide freeboard in the pic.

Hey guys, we had the wettest Easter ever but still managed to get out on the water. The track to our ramp is so sodden that the boat got bogged! Will post some pics ASAP. I just bought the Bli Bli winter pass so I'll be looking to make a few trips south over the next couple of months :) Is anyone getting sme rides in?
Enjoy the ride. Any time on the water is good time!

Will we had the opposite problem our biggest Dam dropped to 0% and our favourite ski dam dropped to 3% then with the hot weather blue green algae became a problem. So the season was cut short in early February.

I had a pretty light on Summer for time on the water which was a drag.

Currently on a short trip to the US for work but keen to get out on the water when I get home.

This time of year in Brisbane is good for days in the 23-26C range. Perfect temperature and you get the water to yourself as everyone puts their boats away after Easter.

Ahh I'm jealous! I've had a terrible season of no boat riding, made worse by the fact I live right next to the river. Ironically I've had more rides at Bli Bli cable, 2 hours away.

Great pic mate!

We got the boat out on Saturday for the first time in a while.

Was a pretty windy, but was great to get out.

It was around 23°C so cool but realistically not bad at all. Sunday was no wind, but was about 19°C so I think we got the better day.

I got out on the weekend too. Air temp was 18' and water temp was 19'! wind chill was something else, I can't remember the last time I was happy to fall off in winter.

Bli Bli was great over the holidays too (but quite busy). I don't know about you guys but I seem to get more rides in winter than any other time of year.
Enjoy the ride. Any time on the water is good time!

The coldest I've ever ridden up here was 13' water temp, but the air temp was 23. That's a whole other level of cold!!! Are you getting out for a ride?

The wetsuit usually comes out below 18deg water temp, but it's the wind chill after the ride that gets you!

Unfortunately no riding for me at the moment. I've been building a shed which has been taking up my weekends.

Coming from someone with only a garden shed - I would say building a shed is a good use of time if not riding :)
