Boat Decision PLease help

Postby Masskill » Sun Aug 19, 2018 11:34 am

Hey guys,

Im new too the forum, I would like your help on deciding between to Flightcraft boats to purchase. One is a Flighcraft Bandit with a 90hp Mercury, and the other is a Flighcraft Dominator with a 200hp Suzuki. There is around a $1000 difference between the two boats (of course the Domintor is more ).

They are both in good condition, I come from inboard Seacraft/Rivercraft boats as a kid. I want a starter boat for my kids to ski.

I would probably be happy with either, just want to know the outboard community's recommendations or someone that has a Flightcraft.
Thanks Paul!!

welcome to the forum .. well you need to look at what's best for you guys practicality wise the 200hp is way better in my opinion for towing planning ect wont have to work as hard

I am curious to why you want an outboard over an inboard. ?
I personally hate the thought of my kids anywhere near the back of an outboard. But I have always had inboards so prob just over paranoid.

Parts on an older Suzuki 200 are harder to come by
As are techs who will actually work on it
But they are a brilliant running piece of gear. Plenty of power. Poor esistance o corrosion. If used only infressh water.
The bandits are a very small boat for room. Will perform well with a 90 but will never be close to overpower.
Bandits with a 135 merc were great.
