My father in law is telling me that there was an article in last weeks paper talking about the closer of Manton Dam for recreational use. Anyone have any details on this????

you lot would be able to use crocs for grind rails up there, im from cairns we went boardin in the barron river a few times it's a bit of a worry when you come off sittin in the middle of the river with mangroves all around, to make it worse the boat kept stalling and wouldn't start lol. all fun and games i spose

Be warned and watch out Darwinites, young whippersnapper loves to get naked. I recon he'll fit in just dandy up there. Doesnt mind a beer or 20 either, just needs the NT air to toughen him up a bit.

We will actually miss the unit or miss having someone around that makes you cry laughing. peace bro.

Manton got re-opened on the 1st of May. Apparently there is still a 1 meter salty on the run. They have increased the number of traps from 2 to 3 and will be spot lighting fortnightly instead of monthly until further notice.
