A group of mates and i are heading to CWC and we are taking our partners in feb, just wondering if anyone can give us a heads up on anything else to do in the generel area that doesnt involve wakeboarding.
I have started looking into the whale sharks at donsol.
i was hopeing to check out some beaches or something. if anyone could give me any details it would be very helpful.

What else would you want to do besides wakeboarding?

But I hear drinking a lot is always an option :)

a trip to caramoan is a nice break, and very easy to book once you're there at the tour desk at cwc. you can also visit the local hot springs. that's all i can think of really. naga isn't exactly a tourist area.

Depends on what you are looking for. It doesn't have a lot of westernized stuff like Bali, but there is a lot around if you know what to look for. Also depends on your taste.

The Whale sharks in Donsol are awesome, best time is March to May, but should be some around in February as well. I saw and swam with 18 of them when I went.

The hot springs are great, really beautiful. they also have some cool waterfalls to hike to just a little further up the mountain. On the other side of the mountain, in Consocep they have more waterfalls, and are building a downhill mountain bike track. It isn't fully done, but you can ride it. May take a little help from a bike shop to rent a bike, but normally if you ask at the tourist place there at cwc they can hook you up or the operators are always helpful.

As far as beaches, caramoan is great. Nice clean cabins and beautiful setting, just no surf. Bagabas has nice clean surf and rental boards only about an hour and a half from cwc and if the wind is good kite boarding. Can get lessons for a good price, I think P15000 or less for the 3 days training. It has been a while since I checked.

There is always scuba and snorkeling for a day trip, but to be honest it isn't the worlds greatest. Wouldn't make the trip here just for that, but can be fun side trip. There is supposed to be a place to swim with Manta rays, but I have never tried that.

Also can check out Misibis. It is a new island resort, but it is out of my price range. Looks nice though.

Legaspi can be a fun day trip. Has Mayon volcano which is worth getting close to, and you can see the ruins of Cagsawa church, which was wiped out by the volcano with 800 people inside. Good trip to do on eht way back from Donsol.

Anyways, there are things around if you are interested, just don't expect it to be all clustered together. have to ask around and work out transportation, etc.

Hope you have a good trip. Let me know when you will be here, we are normally over about once a week. I'm hard to miss with the 3 blonde kids wakeboarding.
